LIVING STONE

Living Stone, the multi-purpose cable layer vessel for DEME group, was completed in 2018 by the shipowner, and is already working on the cable routing at Hornsea Project One in the United Kingdom. It is one of the most advanced and largest v submarine wiring ships in the world.

Commissioned in 2015 by the CNN La Naval shipyard, its construction was completed in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, where the final works and commissioning of all the equipment and systems were carried out, including a double-lane cable installation system with a total capacity of 10,000 tons.

This last generation multipurpose vessel is capable of wiring, umbilical and rock installations, ditches, transportation and installation abroad.

DEME subsidiary Tideway is in charge of export cable installation at the 1.2GW Hornsea Project One offshore wind farm.

Installation and tuning of all navigation and communications equipment. REDCAI installed the WARTSILA SAM ELECTRONICS NACOS PLATINUM navigation system for the bridge, SAILOR external communications, fiber optic gyroscopic system, helicopter monitoring system and helicopter platform radio beacon.
