Río Segura

With 73 m L.o.a., the Río Segura has the highest tonnage of any vessel in the Servicio Marítimo de la Guardia Civil fleet. It is an oceanic Patrol Vessel, built by Gondán Shipyard

Its function is to patrol national waters and adjoining areas, and also international waters, for the suppression of smuggling, control of illegal immigration and surveillance to ensure  compliance with Spanish and international maritime laws.

The vessel can also be used for rescue missions, pollution control and humanitarian aid and is fitted out with the appropriate spaces for such purposes.
