30,500 m3 capacity Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger Built by CNN – La Naval for Jan De Nul Group. This new dredger has been specially designed for operation in shallow or confined waters. For this purpose, it has a full load draft of 13 meters. The Charles Darwin started to carry her dredging operations for infrastructure works (port entrances with a turning circle between 11 and 14 meters) at the Port of Itajai, in Santa Catarina (Brazil).
